Cultural lesson-paper cutting

Paper cutting refer to handicrafts made by cutting paper with scissors to form different patterns and pasting them on walls, windows, doors and ceilings.

With their long history, paper cutting, which originated in China, have been very popular among the ordinary people of China. The first paper cutting can be traced back to the Northern and Southern Dynasties (386~581) period. The initiation and spread of paper cutting had a close relationship with Chinese rural festivals. People pasted paper cutting on walls, windows and doors at wedding ceremonies or festivals to enhance the festive atmosphere.

so this week, we have a cultural lesson about how to cut paper. First, our teacher Magic introduce something about the history of the paper cutting. 

Then Magic drew some simple pictures to show how to cut. The students watched very seriously.

Teacher Sophia and Cindy learned to cut,too.
