Christmas Potluck Lunch
We celebrated Christmas on December 23rd with a big party show with all students and staff of Omeida. Apart from our annual show (with a number of entertaining performances), Christmas day was spent cooking and playing traditional Chinese games.
A potluck is a gathering of people where each person or group of people contributes a dish of food prepared by the person or the group, to be shared among the larger gathered group. Synonyms include: potluck dinner, spread, Jacob's join, Jacob's supper, faith supper, covered dish supper, dish party, bring and share, shared lunch, pitch-in, carry-in, bring-a-plate, dish-to-pass, fuddle. A potlatch is not a Potluck.
We did a potluck at our Principal Mr. Odar’s house on Christmas day with Santa Cluas.
After the late lunch, we played Mahjong at Chinese Academy as an end of that afternoon.
