If you are interested in the HSK examination, we can launch a dedicated class for you to prepare for the test according to your level, classes focused on HSK can be taken under any standard (3classes/day) or intensive (6classes/day) packages.
Introduction
The Chinese Proficiency Test or Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) is China's national standardized test designed and developed to assess the Chinese language proficiency of non-native speakers, an equivalent of TOEFL in English attracting more and more foreign examinees. The HSK certificate is becoming a talisman to find job opportunities.
Omeida Chinese Academy provides you all materials and instructions to sit for this examination, our teachers are perfectly qualified to assist you to face the challenge.
Functions of the HSK
- To certify that you have obtained the required Chinese proficiency to enter a college or university in China as an undergraduate or graduate student;
- To serve as a reference when you apply for a job position that requires a certain level of Chinese competency;
- To test your Chinese proficiency if you are learning the language.
Classification
Spoken:
HSK Elementary (equivalent of written levels 1 & 2)
150-300 basic Chinese words as well as the corresponding rules of grammar.
HSK Intermediate (equivalent of written levels 3 & 4)
600-1200 Chinese words as well as the corresponding rules of grammar.
HSK Advanced (equivalent of written levels 5 & 6)
2500-5000 Chinese words as well as the corresponding rules of grammar.

Level 1
Examination candidates who reach HSK-Level 1 can understand and use simple words and sentences to fulfill specific communication needs and have a foundation for the further study of Chinese.
Level 2
Examination candidates who reach HSK-Level 2 can communicate simply and directly on daily topics they are familiar with. Level 2 have reached the advanced stage of beginner level.
Level 3
Examination candidates who reach HSK-Level 3 can complete basic communication tasks in daily life, study and work. If traveling in China, Level 3 can handle most communication tasks they encounter.
Level 4
Examination candidates who reach HSK-Level 4 can discuss a relatively wide range of topics in Chinese and are able to communicate with native speakers.
Level 5
Examination candidates who reach HSK-Level 5 can read Chinese newspapers and magazines, appreciate Chinese films and television, and are able to write and deliver a full speech.
Level 6
Examination candidates who reach HSK-Level 6 can easily understand what they read and listen and express themselves fluently in written and oral Chinese.
