On April 11, 2012, we had a culture lesson on Chinese paper cutting.
It is a traditional art in China. In china, we usually use red paper to bring warm atmosphere. It is often pasted on walls and windows, especially on festivals.
Today, we are going to cut red lanterns and butterflies.
Our teacher Magic is demonstrating some different patterns to us.
There are lots things that we could make with paper cutting, Chinese characters, animals, children etc.
Our students are really interested in it.
Noah, you are so cute!
Finished?! Christian, well done! Noah, it’s like a pumpkin face for Halloween…
Wow~~ everybody is creative~ Werner’s is like two big eyes, and Melissa’s is kind of Chinese traditional pattern.
