Cultural lesson-Blowing Ink Painting

Blowing ink painting is a special form of traditional Chinese art. When doing blowing ink painting, one should control his/her breath very well, so that the ideal outline did take form. The process of doing ink painting is full of interest, here we go!

Plum blossom is one of our national flowers and plays a very important role throughout the development of Chinese culture. Cindy was introducing how to blowing plum blossom painting.

A good Beginning is half done. Warren dropped some ink on the paper by using brush.

The picture shows that Cathy applied herself to the task intently.

Wow, a vigorous trunk has appeared vividly. Good job, Brent!

After we finished blowing the trunks and branches, we moved to drawing the blossoms. Our tool for blossom was bamboo stick, simple and special.

These are our works! They are marvelous, aren’t they?
