Students from Omeida Chinese Academy had a Chinese calligraphy class taught by Chinese teacher Becky on 9th October. The Chinese character they learned how to write was DAO, a fundamental word in Chinese traditional philosophy----Daoism, which means “The way”, explaining from laws of the universe to moral principles of being a better person.
Omeida Chinese Academy holds various kinds of culture class monthly, in order to help our students get involved and immerse deep into this land.
Becky was enplaning the history of Chinese calligraphy.
And then she was teaching how to write the strokes ——“Dian”,”Heng”, and ”Shu”.
Dana tried to write the strokes with his inner peace.
Tom accomplished a really good stroke, the last one of “Dao”.
Show time! Everyone were immersed in and had a lof fun. Cheers!
