Culture class—Chinese calligraphy character＂马＂
As we all know that calligraphy or the art of writing was the visual art form prized above all others in traditional China. And also the zodiac is Chinese precious cultural products, twelve animals are the closest animals and to our daily life and social life, so they become the most familiar cultural symbols to people.
Culture class this week, our Chinese teacher Becky gave our children a wonderful lesson of writing Chinese calligraphy character＂马＂.

\Firstly, Becky showed our students different tapes of way of writing “马” and then taught our students how to hold the writing brush. We were happy to see our students are not only good at using chopsticks but writing brush as well!
The hardest step for calligraphy is to write every stroke beautifully with patient. Becky was trying to show our students in which way we can write it well.

Everyone did a good job! This was the first time Dan and Florian practiced their calligraphy. They were very satisfied about their calligraphy works.
It’s very short time to learn calligraphy in 45 minutes. Hope every student can have the interest to practice more after class!
