The joyous Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated on the fifteenth day of the eighth moon, around the time of the autumn equinox(秋分). Many referred to it simply as the "Fifteenth of the Eighth Moon".
We organized our students to celebrate together and spent a merry night at Omeida. Making snow shin and enjoy firworks are the main activities at that night.
As darkness fell on Monday night, we met at school and prepared everything for the festival. The first step was to make snow moon cake together. Adding some water to the well-cooked rice flour and rolling to the shape of the small balls, all these will used for the outside parts. Bean paste made into the same shape will be used to the inside part as same size as the outside parts. Covering the bean paste inside and using a mold for decorative pattern on the cake, a snow skin moon cake has already done.
Andy is our new student from this week and we are looking forward to spending the next two weeks with him.
The second fantastic part was to celebrate with fireworks. We waved the fireworks for different glittering views. We all cheered about the mid-autumn festival.
