“Lei Feng’d Day”
Lei Feng was a historical person in China who helped many people during his life & for Lei Feng day students were challenged to be Lei Feng to those around them.
Did you help any people that they need your helps? Just remember the sentence: There is a limit to one’s life, but no limit to serving the people. I would devote my limited life to limitlessly serving the people!
Lei Feng is more than just a name in China. His name creeps into people’s hearts, daily conversation, music, even movies; his imagery can be found on cups, T-shirts, and bags. There’s the Lei Feng Model Bus, Lei Feng Model Student, Lei Feng Class, Lei Feng Nursery, Lei Feng village and so on.
A year later, late Chairman Mao Zedong called on the entrie nation to follow Lei’s example, and March 5th of every year is designated “Lei Feng’d Day”,. And the March is called “Lei Feng month”.
Do you know any LeiFeng around you? LeiFeng is known for devoting almost all of his spare time and money to selflessly helping the needy. He died after being hit by a falling pole while helping a fellow soldier direct a truck on Aug. 15, 1962.
