Chinese Tea 喝茶品人生hē chá pǐn rén shēng
Enjoy a life style with a cup of tea; take a break contemplating the beauty and complexity of life. Don’t trouble trouble until trouble troubles you. In a long lifetime, we need to make a stop, for a coffee break or a tea time.
We moved our cultural lesson into a tea house days ago. The tea house owner Hans is from Fuqing city, Fujian province which is famous for very high quality Chinese tea. He knows tea culture very well. And also he loves to talk to people, even talking in English with foreigners. He gives informative tips of tea ceremony. He has been doing very good job for years in spreading Chinese tea culture to all over the world.
Start from tea sets to different kinds of tea leaves, we experienced a tea journey in the tea house.
In Hans’ tea shop, we saw many kinds of tea, and known that Chinese tea can be classified into many categories: white, green, black, red and post-fermented.
Tieguanyin, a variety of green tea is with a fragrant flavor and rich taste.
Shahknaz(四毛) is smelling Puer tea which is widespread planted in Yunnan province. Puer is a red tea and could motivate itself in a 70-80 degree hot water within 8 minutes. For the first time made, Hans said it was for washing tea cups. And also it was the time to give the tea leaves recover from a long time deep sleep.
Rickard(李智山) is from Sweden. He loves to try all the things new with his curiosity.
Marie is a regular customer. She has been to the tea shop many times shopping tea leaves as gift for her friends and herself in Yangshuo and also homeland Finland.
